the HTC largest in America, the Samsung World’s Largest

If the independent research institute IDC report last week stating ZTE as the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, the latest report from Canalyst mention smartphone manufacturer HTC is the largest in America. The report is based on the number of HTC smartphone shipments in the third quarter of 2011. It is known that HTC was able to make a record 5.7 million smartphone shipments in HTC brand and 70,000 units with T-Mobile brand.

For the third and fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the United States, occupied by Samsung and Apple. Samsung smartphone shipments in the third quarter of 2011 there were 4.9 million units while the Apple iPhone carrying 4.6 million units.

Although located in second place in America but globally Samsung occupies the top position as the leader of the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer. Samsung’s record is calculated in the whole world, including in the areas of Western Europe and Latin America. This means that Samsung has managed to shift the position of Nokia which has over the years become the king of cell phones around the world. Samsung’s achievement was at once put Nokia, Apple and RIM in succession to the position of two, three and four in the global list of the largest smartphone manufacturer.
